An all natural, homemade skin care routine.

 1. Cleanser

Honey is a staple house hold item almost everyone has some honey lying around, instead of just using as sweetener try this honey cleanser.

Honey Cleanser



What You’ll need: 

  • Honey

  • Aloe Vera gel

Method: 

Step 1: In a bowl, take a tablespoon of raw organic honey and half a teaspoon of Aloe Vera.

Step 2: Mix them together and apply this paste to your face. Let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water.


2. Exfoliation



Sugar Exfoliator

Sugar, another common household item can be used for more than making sweets.

What You’ll need: 

  • Honey

  • Natural oil (almond, coconut or olive)

Method:

  1. Step 1: Combine one tablespoon of raw sugar and one tablespoon of your favorite natural oil (i.e. coconut, olive, jojoba, almond) to form a thick paste; adjust amounts as needed to achieve this consistency.
  2. Step 2: Apply to the skin with your fingers using a circular motion or with a brush using short strokes. Let sit for 10 minutes before rinsing with warm water.

3. Toner

Toner can be made with different household ingredients here are a few:


  1. Aloe Vera Toner

  2. Aloe vera or aloe vera gel can be found anywhere and for a cheap price why not make this simple toner.
  3. What You’ll need: 
    • Aloe Vera gel

    • Rose water

    • Spray bottle

Method:

  1. Step 1: Mix a half cup each of aloe vera gel and rose water to form a paste; adjust amounts as needed to achieve this consistency.
  2. Step 2: Apply to the skin with the spray bottle. Let sit for 10 minutes before rinsing with warm water.


Cucumber Toner
    1. What You’ll need: 
      • Aloe Vera gel

      • Cucumber

      • Spray bottle

Method:

  1. Step 1: Grate one fresh cucumber and extract its water, add 3-4 tablespoons for fresh aloe gel to it. Mix well and transfer to an airtight bottle.
  2. Step 2: Apply to the skin with the spray bottle. Let sit for 10 minutes before rinsing with warm water. Store in the fridge for best results and use twice daily.

4. Serum For Dry Skin


Aloe vera Serum
    1. What You’ll need: 
      • Aloe Vera gel

      • Honey

      • Coconut oil

Method:

  1. Step 1: Mix 1 tbsp of aloe vera gel and 1 tbsp of extra virgin coconut oil into a small bottle-like container. Add 1 tbsp of honey to the mixture.
  2. Step 2: Apply 3-4 drops of this serum to your face & neck areas twice a day. Let sit for 5-20 minutes before rinsing with warm water. Store in the fridge for best results and use twice daily.
  3. 5. Moisturizer


    Aloe vera moisturizer
      1. What You’ll need: 
        • Aloe Vera gel

        • Almond oil

    Method:

    1. Step 1: Mix  cup of  ½ aloe vera gel and  ¼ cup of almond oil
    2. Step 2: Apply this moisturizer on your face. Let sit for all night before rinsing with warm water in the morning or wash of after 30 minutes.
    1. 6. Sunscreen




      Sunscreen
      1. What You’ll need: 
        • 1/2 cup Coconut oil

        • 1-2 tbsp Shea butter

        • 1/4 cup Almond oil

        • 2 tbsp-1/4 cup Beewax (Depending on your preferred consistency)

        • 1 tsp Vitamin E oil

        • 15 drops of red Raspberry Seed Oil/ Carrot Seed Oil

        • 2 tbsp zinc Oxide powder

      Method:

      1. Step 1: Melt all the oils together (coconut, almond, beewax, shea butter and vitamin E oil) in a double boiler or pan placed on top of a pot of boiling water. Stir for a few minutes until completely melted
      2. Step 2: Remove from heat and add 15 drops of red raspberry seed oil or carrot seed oil.
      3. Step 3: Very carefully add in the zinc oxide, taking care not to breathe any in. You might want to cover your mouth with a cloth if you do not trust yourself to be a careful mixer.
      4. Step 4: Mix slowly and thoroughly until there are no more powdered clumps of zinc oxide
      5. Step 5: Pour into your desired container and let it return to room temperature. Use as you would any sunscreen of SPF 30-40
      6. Note: Beeswax and shea butter can thicken the sunscreen. If you prefer a sunscreen that's easier to squeeze from a bottle, use smaller quantities. However, this may reduce the sunscreen's waterproof effectiveness. For a more waterproof formula, opt for the larger amounts.
      7. 7. Eye cream




        Eye cream
        1. What You’ll need: 
          • Vitamin E oil

          • Coconut oil

          • Rosehip seed

          • Rose essential oil

          • Frankincense essential oil

        Method:

        1. Step 1:  In a double-boiler heat coconut oil until it's melted. Add rosehip seed oil, the contents of one vitamin E capsule, rose essential oil, and frankincense essential oil.
        2. Step 2: Mix everything together and remove from heat. Let cool for a few minutes before pouring into your container of choice.
